Crop Insurance
Farmers First Agri Service is an independent crop insurance agency licensed in Wisconsin and Minnesota. All federal crop insurance policies sold through this agency are underwritten by approved insurance providers (AIPs) under a Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA) with the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC), a division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Risk Management Agency (USDA RMA).
Crop insurance products, coverage options, premium rates, and program terms are established by USDA RMA and are subject to change. All coverage is subject to the applicable policy provisions, endorsements, and Special Provisions for the county and crop year in question. This website provides general descriptions of available programs and does not constitute a policy, binder, or contract of insurance. Coverage is not effective until a policy is properly applied for, accepted, and confirmed by the approved insurance provider.
Not advice specific to your operation. Information on this site is general in nature. Coverage levels, unit structures, premium rates, APH histories, and program eligibility vary by producer, crop, county, and practice. Contact us directly for guidance specific to your operation before making coverage decisions.
Federal crop insurance is a public-private partnership. Policies may not be available for all crops, practices, or counties. Some products are subject to acreage or revenue limitations. Ask your agent for details applicable to your situation.
Farmers First Ag Index (FFAI)
The Farmers First Ag Index (FFAI) is a national index of farm prices received relative to prices paid, developed and maintained by Farmers First Agri Service. Since October 2026 (FFAI v4), it compares national indexes of prices U.S. farms receive and prices they pay, published by the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). Before launch it was tested internally against USDA net farm income. FFAI v3 (Federal Reserve data, published through Q2 2026) is retired; its data is kept unchanged.
The FFAI has not been reviewed, endorsed, or approved by USDA, RMA, FCIC, the Federal Reserve, or any government agency. Validation is internal and conducted by Farmers First Agri Service. Correlations reported on this site reflect internal tests, not third-party or government review.
The FFAI measures prices only. It does not include yields, quantities sold, government payments, or any individual farm’s costs or contracts, and it shows no relationship with national farm loan delinquency. It is a conditions indicator, not a forecast or a predictive guarantee.
The FFAI is a publicly available resource. Access to FFAI data, API endpoints, and embeddable badges is not contingent on purchasing crop insurance or any other product or service from Farmers First Agri Service. FFAI data is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license — free to use with attribution.
FFAI scores, sub-index values, and historical data are updated quarterly after USDA NASS publishes all three months of the prior quarter. Data displayed on this site may lag real-time market conditions. Publication dates are noted on all current data.
